I love horses and used to ride them as a child. When I drive by farms in Washington I always look for foals because they are so adorable. This book has entertaining and interesting facts about foals that kids can understand. There is a picture on each page with the text below it. This book is very short and ends at 21%. Just enough reading to get a kid interested in reading more about horses.

my kids are home schooled and we enjoy picked up ebooks for their tablets so they can easily access a variety of books for those "Im bored moments" . Very economical. Cute little ebook.;
My little grand-daughter loves this story. I love it to. I've been a horsey girl since I was her age.
For kids who can already read a bit, great to learn new words and more complexe sentences.
Youngers kids love it, mine are 3,5 years old and keep asking to read it again, plus they'll ask questions about the how's and why's the days after listening to the story. The text is simple enough to get them interested while teaching them.
It is obvious the author is a teacher. The story line is simple yet interesting. It encourages learning in a young person. This book even held my interest. The pictures are just adorable*** I love it as well as my grandchildren do*** Thanks*****
The photos accompanying the text in this reader are delightful; and the print is large and easy for youngsters to read. The book is loaded with interesting information; any child would enjoy learning about foals and their mothers.
However, I have to agree with an earlier reviewer (C. Scanlon) that the complexity of the sentences can be a barrier to reading. Fortunately, the photos are well-matched to the text and that will help children understand what they read.
What child is not fascinated with horses? This book is a great introduction to foals
Can stand up and walk after about an hour * Drinks its mother's milk for about 6 months * Gets its first teeth at about 2 weeks old * Colt and filly * Nap lying down for about the first three months * Love to play * It's mother teaches it everything by example
Nice readable font for young readers but also great for reading aloud to younger children.
